Warm Welcome to Prof. Brian and Joyce

On 10th June, 2016, we held a welcome party for Prof. Brian Woodall and his spouse Joyce Woodall. The venue was “Toriyoshi Jiyugaoka Ekimaeten”, a lively, elegant, and spacious Japanse Izakaya Restaurant. Not to mention, the taste was unparalleled. (Don’t doubt, it’s Japan)

Prof. Brian arrived to Japan in May and will stay in Tokyo Institute of Technology until August. Currently, he has two lecture courses: “Introduction to Global Development” and “Energy, Environment and Policy”. We are grateful to have him in our lab seminar as well and receive valuable research insights from him. Thank you Brian Sensei.

The atmosphere of the event became more entertaining when accompanied by our guest visitors: Konstantin Nobbe (exchange student) and his co-worker and Miss Tarinee Thongcharoen (master course graduate). Surprisingly, four of our lab mates whose birthdays fall in June received presents too. Thanks to our benevolent lab mates Toshiro Abe and Kazuhiko Matsumura for the surprise.
