It was nice opportunity to discuss biodiversity in the session last weekend at Tanzawa-ko. We could learn many important aspects of biodiversity.
This year was for biodiversity. Then, next year will be International Year of Forests 2011. I hope people will recognize the importance of forest again.
It could be a chance of my research??

ゼミ合宿お疲れさまでした。
ゼミでは生物多様性について多角的な議論ができて良い機会でした。
さて今年は生物多様性年ですが来年は国際森林年らしいです。
注目される点はREDD（Reduced Emissions from Deforestation and forest Degradation）だと思います。COP10の生物多様性の際にABS（遺伝資源へのアクセスと便益のシェア）が重要視されたように発展途上国の森林資源がどのように守られるべきかが、つまり先進国から資金援助の枠組みをどうするのかが問われると思います。
生物多様性と同様に、森林の重要性が再認識されれば良いと思います。
そして自分の研究のチャンス？？
