IDE Field Work / Internship Presentation, Oct 28, 2015 (program updated)

 

The Department of International Development Engineering will organize the presentation of student’s field work and internship activities as follows:

Please join the party that will be held after the presentation to welcome new students

 

The candidates will be requested to deal with the following procedures: (1) Registration, (2) Prepare a Presentation File, (3) Make a Presentation, and (4) Submit a Report.

Please be aware that any delay in submitting requested documents would result in a devaluation of the scores or even disqualification.

 

(1) Registration

You can download an excel form to register your presentation from the link below. The file needs to be submitted by October 21 (Wed) 12:00, including necessary information. If the presentation will be made by a team, the team leader should coordinate and send the file. Please note that your evaluation will be deduced if submission is delayed.

(2) Prepare a Presentation File

Please prepare the file for the presentation. If the presentation will be made by a team, the team leader should prepare a single file composed of the slides created by all the team members. Though detailed time slots will be announced later on, presentation time would be allocated according to the number of presenters in each group in the following manner:

One presenter: 10 minutes, Team composed of a few presenters: 15 minutes, Team composed of many presenters: 30 – 40 minutes

Note: presentation time can be slightly modified according to the total number of presenters

 

(3) Make a Presentation

Please bring a computer or USB containing your presentation file. Though the department will also prepare a computer, you may use your own computer. If you prefer to use the department’s computer, please prepare the file in either Microsoft PowerPoint or PDF.

 

All the team members are requested to take a role of some part of the presentation. It shall not be presented by one or limited members.

 

(4) Submit a Report

After the presentation, you need to submit the fieldwork or internship report by November 5 (Thursday) 12:00 to the following address. If the presentation will be made by the team, all of the members need to take responsibility for writing some part of the report. Responsible author should be indicated in the beginning of each section.

The team leader is requested to coordinate and send the file to the email address below.

Please note that your evaluation will be deduced if submission is delayed.

Detailed descriptions on the report are as follows:

#1 Number of pages, layout, format, and language (English or Japanese) are all free. (Too short report can be devalued)

#2 If the presentation was made by the team, one single report should be submitted. Also, please indicate the author(s) of each section in the report to make clear who was in charge of writing.

#3 Please describe detailed information which you have experienced during the period with figures and photos.

#4 Please delete any personal information other than your names. For instance, e-mail address, phone number, and student ID should not be included.

#5 Please do not include the documents which might violate any confidentiality of the affiliate to which you belonged. Please consult the person-in-charge if you are wondering that some issues could arise associated with the document considered.
