Hi everyone.<\/p>\n

Since the beginning of July, I’ve spent 2 weeks in Cambridge, United Kingdom. I would like to briefly introduce the city in this article.<\/p>\n

I arrived at Cambridge on 1st July, and now I’m staying in one of several dormitories called “college”. I could fortunately book a single room in Wolfson college for a month, thanks to current long vacation until October.<\/p>\n

I am staying here as an academic visitor (\u5b66\u8853\u7814\u7a76\u54e1) to the Institute for Manufacturing (IfM) within Department of Engineering, University of Cambridge. My work here is mainly to examine decision-theoretic approach for ‘maintenance’ on products. Of course I will apply the approach to the case of residential solar power systems, that is main objective of my PhD research in Tokyo Tech. <\/p>\n

I think the past 2 weeks were fruitful. I’ve had one meeting with adviser here and will have next meeting in next week with a PhD student here who have done similar research… These days I’m making every effort to read books\/papers and understand what previous studies have done in this field.<\/p>\n

Basically the city is filled with nature and magnificent buildings. <\/p>\n

On the way to the IfM, I’ve seen rabits several times. <\/p>\n

In the city center, especially on Sunday, there are lots of tourists.<\/p>\n
