Hi everyone, I’m Phu from Kanda lab.

I have mainly 2 hobbies.
I love Scuba diving and cycling. I have started cycling a year ago.
But I haven’t had time to do a serious cycling like going for a cycling trip and hopping on the bicycle for the whole day.
It’s been one of my budget lists for a while.

Luckily, one of my senpai asked me to join his trip to go cycling around Kasumigaura Bay.
It is a very huge lake in Ibaraki prefecture.

You can see it clearly on the map.
I am a little bit scare at first, because the plan for this trip is riding a bicycle for more than 60 kilometres a day for the whole 3 days straight!
It is quite intense for a beginner like me. We start at a very local train station in Ibaraki prefecture called “Iwase station (岩瀬駅)”

Then we go along the Tsukuba-Kasumigaura ringring road (つくば霞ヶ浦りんりんロード)
On the way of the first day, we rode along the Mount Tsukuba.

The view of the nature and local Japanese rural area is stunning.

On the second day we rode around the Kasumigaura Bay. It is very interesting to see the lotus field. It seems like people around here tend to plant lotus instead of a normal rice.

Unfortunately, it’s rain heavily on the last day.
So, we came back to Tokyo earlier than the original plan this is a picture of interesting cat I met during the trip.
It has a black face and tail but purely white body. Look so cool!
