Brief Profile:

VAIBHAV GARG is pursuing his doctoral studies at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, India, in the area of application of soft computing techniques in reservoir sedimentation studies. He has completed his Master’s in Water Resources Engineering from the Department of Civil Engineering, Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur, India in the year 2005. Earlier, he has worked with National Institute of Hydrology (NIH) Roorkee, Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS) Dehradun and IIT Bombay as a Research Fellow. Till date, he has published 14 (National and International) publications dealing with Water Resources Engineering. He is a Student member of ASCE, life member of ISH and IAHS.

I am very thankful to SAARC and the International Association for Exchange of Student for Technical Experience (IAESTE) of Japan for inviting me to Tokyo, Japan and extending an opportunity to interact with Japanese high-level technology and culture through Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youth (JENESYS) programme.
