Oral presentations
• Presentation time is scheduled to be 15 minutes in total (12 minutes
for the presentation, 3 minutes for questions and speaker change over).
To keep with the schedule, session Chairs will be instructed to stop presenters
at the end of their designated times.
• Please introduce yourself to the Session Chair at least five minutes
before the start of the session.
• The following facilities will be available in each presentation room:
- Computers (Windows XP)
- A/V projectors
- Microphone
- Pen style laser pointer
- Speaker-timer
• Please bring your presentation on a CD-ROM or USB memory stick (floppy
drives is not available).The memory stick or CD will be returned to the
speaker. We recommend that you bring two copies of the presentation in
case there is a problem with one of them.
• Hand in your presentations to the scheduled speaker room at least 1 hour
before your presentation. If you are scheduled for a morning session, please
hand in your
presentation the night before, if possible.
• Presentations should be uploaded onto the computer in the respective presentation room during one of the following times before your session: In the morning before the first session starts, during lunch break or after the last session of the day (for presentations next morning). Uploads during coffee brakes will not be available.
• Acceptable formats for presentations: Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Macintosh presentations should be exported into PC-format.
• The projectors are set to a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels and
a screen refresh rate of 60 Hz (scheduled).
• If your presentation for any specific reason include sounds or animations OR if a personal computer is necessary, please contact to the ICUC-7 secretariat preferable before the conference.
• One room will be provided for speakers to try out the presentation.
• Wireless internet connections will be available in the lobby of the conference
centre.
Poster presentations
• Poster board size: 90 cm width x 210 cm height; preferred poster size
84.1 cm width x 118.9 cm height (A0)
• Place the title of your paper at the top of the poster board to allow
viewers to identify your paper.
• Include the names of the authors, e-mail and postal address information
in case the viewer is interested in contacting you for more information.
If possible, include a small photograph of the first author (or presenter
if these differ) for easy identification.
• The facilities desk at the conference centre will give instructions of
where the posters should be mounted.
