To:: 2nd year Master course students who entered the IDE\u00a0 program in April.<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

You are required to present the progress of your research work at the interim presentation session scheduled on Thursday, August 2, 2012, starting from 13:20.\u00a0\u00a0 Please send the title of your presentation by July 19 (Thursday)\u00a0 to nabe<at>ide.titech.ac.jp via e-mail.<\/p>\n

As for the details of the session, please check the following instructions below.<\/p>\n

******Details of the interim presentation session ******<\/p>\n

1. Purpose of the session:<\/strong><\/p>\n

To present the progress of your work and to explain the significance of your research to those who are not necessarily experts in your research field.<\/p>\n

2. Submission of the presentation title:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Deadline: by 17:00, July 19 (Thursday)<\/p>\n

Please send the title to nabe<at>ide.titech.ac.jp via e-mail (please replace <at> by @)<\/p>\n

\u00a03. Submission of one page abstract in advance to the interim presentation<\/strong><\/p>\n

– A4, one page, in English. The format is the same as the first page of “Extended abstract for master thesis” without “Short abstract.”<\/p>\n

Check this page<\/a> for the details.<\/p>\n

– The representative of each lab. should\u00a0 collect all lab-mates PDF files and send them to Naoya Abe.\u00a0 Please also hand-in the printed-out abstracts too at Room 107, Ishikawadai #4 (to Ms. Sakamoto, Secretary of Abe research group.)\u00a0 . The deadline of the both materials is\u00a0 17:0, Thursday, July 26, 2012, one week before the session.<\/p>\n

4.\u00a0 Date, time, and venue<\/strong><\/p>\n

– Dat<\/span>:\u00a0on Thursday, August 2, 2012<\/p>\n

– Time<\/span>:\u00a0 11:00 – 17:00 (including preparation and clean-up periods of time)<\/p>\n

11:00 – 12:00 Installation of poster panels and\u00a0 preparation of posters by presenters (I will announce about this in detail later.)<\/p>\n

13:20 \u2013 15:30 Presentation session<\/p>\n

Allocation of time among 15 mins for each presentation:<\/p>\n

  • First 5 mins:\u00a0 brief introduction by each presenter<\/li>\n
  • Next 5 mins:\u00a0 Q&A with IDE professors<\/li>\n
  • Last\u00a0 5 mins: Q&A with other presenters<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/blockquote>\n

    15:30 –\u00a0 Awarding of prize to the best presenter, followed by the room clean-up<\/p>\n

    – Venue<\/span>: Ishikawadai #4,\u00a0 Basement #B04\/5<\/p>\n

    5. Presentation
    \n<\/strong><\/p>\n

    – A*0 (A-zero) size poster, in English<\/p>\n

    – Six to eight IDE professors are designated for each presentation and they will evaluate each presentation.<\/p>\n

    –<\/strong> The result of the evaluation is also used as reference to the grade for \u00a0 “Seminar in International Development Engineering IV.”<\/p>\n

    – All presenters are strongly encouraged to raise a question to other presentations, at least once.<\/p>\n

    6. Prize will be\u00a0 awarded to the best presenter based on the results of the faculty’s evaluation.<\/strong><\/p>\n
