This page summarizes the schedule and supplemental instructions for the IDE\u00a0master program students while the general schedule and instructions set by Tokyo Tech are certainly valid.\u00a0\u00a0 Thus please refer to \u201cSCHEDULE FOR COMPLETING THE\u00a0MASTER\u2019S PROGRAM, THE GRADUATE SCHOOL OF SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING<\/span><\/a>\u201d set by the Tokyo Tech for the preparation of your thesis.<\/p>\n

1. Resistration of Research Title<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

The resistration needs to be made on IDE Local Web Page<\/span><\/a>\uff08accessible only in campus\uff09Put your research title on the row of\u00a0\u201dTitle of thesis (\u30bf\u30a4\u30c8\u30eb)\u201d Deadline: 17:00, July 7 (Monday), 2014<\/strong><\/p>\n

2. Submission of Thesis and Thesis Summary<\/strong><\/h3>\n

3. Submission of Extended Abstract (printed copy)<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Format etc.: Prepare in English. See \u201cPreparation of Extended Abstract for Thesis<\/span><\/a>\u201d for further particular. Submit one single-sided copy. Monochrome in principle, colored optional. Pinup with paper clips. Do not use staples. Submit to: Ms. Yamaura<\/strong>, Administrative Staff at Room 104,\u00a0Ishikawadai 4th Bldg Deadline: 17:00,\u00a0July\u00a031 (Thursday), 2014\u00a0 (be punctual) <\/strong><\/p>\n

4. PC and electrical file used in the presentation<\/strong><\/h3>\n

PC:<\/h4>\n

The presenters are allowed to use their laboratory\u2019s computers (or personal one) which most facilitates their presentation according to individual PC environment, irrespective of operating system or presentation software. Please consult your supervisor on which computer you should use.<\/p>\n

Presentation file:<\/h4>\n

The presenters do NOT need to submit their presentation files in advance. Please bring the data with your computer.<\/p>\n

Note:<\/h4>\n

Presenters\u00a0SHOULD examine whether their computers can appropriately connect to the projector in the presentation room in advance. Please consult your supervisor on the availability of the presentation room. This process is crucially important as any postpone due to mechanical problems associated with PC\u2019s connection will not be taken into consideration in your presentation.<\/p>\n

5. Final Presentation <\/strong><\/h3>\n

Date and Time: Afternoon,\u00a0August\u00a04 (Monday), 2014\u00a0\u00a0 (detailed time-schedule will be posted later.)<\/strong> Note that Bachelor theses and master theses sessions are jointly held on the same day. Venue: Ishikawadai 4th Bldg B1 Room B02 \u2013 5 Language: Presentation \u2013 English; Discussion \u2013 English or Japanese Time Limit: 20 minutes (14 minutes for presentation, 5 minutes for discussion, 1 minute for alternation and preparation)<\/p>\n

6. Submission of Revised Extended Abstract (electrical files only)<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Prepare and submit the revised extended abstract whih reflects the discussions and comments on your presentation. Check typographical errors and omissions once more.\u00a0 This material is imporatnt because it is used for the decision about conferment of Academic Degree, and compiling them for publishing abstract book. Submission of electrical files:\u00a0 please upload the files as instructed below. Deadline: 17:00, August\u00a09<\/del> 13 (Saturday<\/del> Wed)\u00a02014 \u00a0(be punctual)\u00a0 Note: Aug 7\u00a0 The deadline was extended in consideration of the university’s official electricity outage and vacation (Aug 9 to 12th).<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n

How to Submit:<\/strong> Access to \u201cLocal web of Depf. of International Development Engineering<\/span><\/a>\u201c, \u201cPages for students<\/span><\/a>\u201c, \u201cUpload (\u30a2\u30c3\u30d7\u30ed\u30fc\u30c9),\u201d and upload the above soft copies. After uploading, download your uploaded files to check them. The file on the server is overwritten by uploading a new file with the same filename. When you correct the filename on the server, upload the file with the correct filename.
